Tukusanyukidde!

Eleven young people are jumping out of their skins to get to East Africa. They are students and staff at the King’s College in New York City. Caught up in the busyness of classes, ever present is a desire to get off American soil and on to the unfamiliar terrain of Uganda. They wish to gain a new perspective and learn to love the people of God. They eagerly look toward learning to genda mpola– slow down– and learn life through another’s eyes. How do the authors know? We are two girls prepping for midterms, yet all we can think about is how excited we are to be on this team headed to East Africa. This is where it begins: in the basement of the Empire State Building. God only knows where it will end. But somewhere in the middle, we will soak in Uganda.
